Lemonade Stand Game Entry
This seemingly silly game actually taught me quite a bit about running a small business. The principles portrayed in this game are very true in real life, and it was a cool little way to familiarize myself with it.

Glogster
This is the Pinboard that I made in Glogster. It has pictures of a lot of the things that I do and/or are important to me. It is a pinboard about my life.

Motion Blur
This is a picture that I have from last year. I used a motion blur and then a mask to create the effect. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot going on in the background, so it's not the coolest thing.

SMNorth Tagxedo
This is a Tagxedo that I have created using words that I think describe our school community; both the good and the bad.

My Future Plans
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/03/27/magazine/senior-class.html?_r=2&
^^^ This link leads to a page that has pictures and audio of high-school seniors who were interviewed on what their future plans are. They're all less than a minute in length; it's interesting to think about what I would say to summarize my future plans in less than a minute. I think it would go something like this:
"Well, I am Mormon and I'm going on a two year mission trip for my church this fall after I graduate. So I'm pretty excited for that. It'll be a great experience. After my mission I want to go visit Norway for a few months. When I get back from that I was planning on going to BYU Hawaii to play soccer. But I might just go to BYU Provo so I have time to get married! As far as what career I would like to have when I get older.. I haven't really decided yet. I've been thinking a lot about education and engineering, but I'm still on the fence. So we'll see how it goes."

Summly
This is Nick D'Aloisio. He is a 17 year old millionaire. He designed and developed an app called 'Summly' to help high-school students study and write papers. I think what he's done is very impressive. Props to him.

Superbowl Ads
I didn't watch the superbowl this year so I haven't seen any of the ads... But! From past years my favorite ads have always been from Doritos; so if there was any Doritos ads this last superbowl then it was probably really funny, and would probably be my favorite.

Places I've lived...
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. My parents decided to move here when I was two years old, and we have lived here in Overland Park, Kansas since then. I have an older sister, a younger sister, and three little brothers. My older sister and I are the only ones who have ever lived outside of Kansas.
For the past few summers I have gone out to Idaho during the summers to work on my uncle's dairy farm, so I guess I live there over the summers, but I haven't established residency so it's not very official. I also spend a lot of my time in Utah with my family there and I definitely wouldn't mind raising my family there.
However, I think it would be really neat to live outside of the U.S. for a little while to see what it's like in other parts of the world. I was thinking of maybe going to live in Norway for a while? I don't know, we'll see how it turns out! Weee! :D

Golden Gate Bridge!!! :D
Here's a picture of me at the Golden Gate Bridge this past summer! (Not really)
I edited this photo in Photoshop using a few tools such as: the lasso tool, the eraser, the blur tool, brightness/contrast, and lots more!

QR Codes
These QR codes lead to a view of the sites that I like to visit when I have free time and nothing better to do with my life. At least that's what I tell myself... The red code leads to Pinterest; I like using Pinterest to find different crafts and random things to work on. The blue code leads to Neopets.com which is a site that I used to play on when I was a kid, and I play on every once in a while when I'm bored. The brown code leads to MyLifeIsAverage.com. This site is fun to visit when I want to have a good laugh. So there you have it. Those are three of my favorite sites.

Telepresence Technology
I think that this is a pretty neat invention, and obviously it's working very well for those kids, but I do see some possible flaws with it. I think that if it became too widely spread it could very easily be misused by students, not to mention the cost. I also don't think that it's an adequate substitute for real human interaction and would add to our laziness and our NEED for technology as a society.
Social Networking
Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; they're all ways to express yourself and share your life with the web. I personally only use Facebook because I think Twitter would be annoying and I don't have a nice enough phone to use Instagram. Although I use Facebook it's not very important to me. I get on every once in a while to check my notifications, but I rarely do anything else. I do get a strange sense of satisfaction from poking people though; I do that quite a bit. The most productive thing I do on there is to document my life through photos. How neat!

Lance Armstrong
Honestly, I feel like it's not as big of a deal as people are making it. In the world of sports today way too many people are "doping," especially in baseball, running, and cycling. Lance is far from being the only athlete that has used performance enhancing techniques. I do feel like he needs to face punishments; I believe stripping him of his medals and titles is enough though. He doesn't need all the media attention and criticism he is receiving.
He was still an AMAZING athlete. "Doping" doesn't make you a superstar. There were probably hundreds of cyclists that had been "doping" during those races and they didn't win. True, the way that he went about winning was wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that he would have had to have also been an incredible athlete.
I also have a lot of respect for what he did with a lot of his money. He has founded and helped to build a foundation that has helped millions fighting cancer. There are plenty of other athletes that have made their career and money from "cheating" that haven't done nearly as much as Lance has (ex. Barry Bonds.) And that is all I have to say about that.

Welcome to my Blog!
Honestly, I have no idea what my name means. My mom saw it in a baby name book and she liked it. My favorite flavor of ice cream is vanilla because you can make whatever you want out of it! If I had a million dollars I would probably do a lot of traveling; other than that I probably wouldn't do much. I would probably donate a good amount of it to charities and put the rest in the bank. I would like to live a normal lifestyle.
